Special Education department in Louisiana goes paperless

School board goes paperless

In just 45 days, a school district said "bye-bye” to over 1,200 boxes of paper.

Revolution Data Systems has been working with this client many years. We installed ApplicationXtender (AX) to manage student records a few years ago. We then scanned and uploaded their back file of student records to AX. Most recently their special education department engaged our team to go paperless.

Building a system to manage special education records

Working alongside key staff, we planned and built new applications to manage special education records in their AX system. This process consisted of creating new department sections, adding new document types and additional fields. To ensure secure management of records, user rights and user access were determined, documented and assigned.

Scanning of special education records

This digitization project consisted of 1,200 boxes of paper. We safely transported the records to our secure document scanning service bureau in Abita Springs, LA for scanning. In total 2,406,413 images were scanned and indexed for upload to their AX system. Our team was able to complete the project in 45 days!
